Peter Jorgen Isakson was the second son of Peder and Olea Isakson and was born June 19, 1882 in Konsvinger Norway.

Peter Jorgen never married and lived in Tompkin, Saskatchewan Canada and died at Gull Lake, Saskatchewan, Canada and is buried at the Lawndale Cemetery at Opheim. MT.

The family of Peder (Isaksen) Isakson and Olea (Olia) (Olsdatter) Isakson consisted of the 3 following children:

His parents and 3 children came to the United States in 1886.

Peter had one brother Jorgen born December 1, 1876 and a sister Helga born January 27, 1885 and a half sister Berthia (Betsy) she was the daughter of Olea and she married Olaf Olson and she and Olaf came over later and settled in the Fortuna, North Dakota area.

The Isakson's first settled in the Pelican Rapids, MN and then later moved to Velva, North Dakota. They then moved to Lethbridge, Albert, Canada to homestead but moved back to the Rothsay MN area to farm but Peter decided to stay in Canada. He homesteaded in the Gull Lake Saskatchewan area near Tompkin, Saskatchewan.

The family lost track of him and had not heard from him for years.

The winter of 1946 Jorgen and Manda were listening to the radio and heard Peter talk on the Mail Bag Program from Moose Jaw Saskatchewan and he gave his address as Tompkin and so they went to Canada and looked him up.

He came down and spent the winter with them. He farmed in the Tompkin area and then in later years he became ill and was in a nursing home.

The Isakson kids went up to visit him often. He died January 22, 1955 and 3 of the Isakson brothers went up and brought the body back to Opheim, Montana where he was buried in the Lawndale Cemetery beside Jorgen and Manda.
