Wilson Fontenot, Sr.
Jennings - Funeral services for Wilson Fontenot, Sr, 72, will be at 2 p.m. today, April 24, from Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church. Rev Marshall Boulet, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery under direction of Segura Funeral Home.
Mr. Fontenot died at 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in 9:15 p.m. in Jennings American Legion Hospital. He was a native of Evangeline Parish and a lifelong resident of Jennings. He was a retired laborer with the State Highway Dept.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Addie (Fontenot) Lejeune; two sons, Wilson Fontenot, Jr. and Ira B. Fontenot, both of Jennings, three daughters, Mrs. Druce (Doris Fontenot) Deshotel and Mrs. Danny (Anita Fontenot) Gotte, both of Jennings and Mrs Mervin (Edna Fontenot) Faul of Iowa; four sisters, Mrs. Mathilda (Fontenot) Daigle of Iota, Mrs. Viola (Fontenot) Jones of Santa Barbara, Ca., Mrs. Lucille (Fontenot) (Dickerson) Dyer of Dallas, Texas and Mrs. Elgie (Fontenot) Fruge of Jennings, 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
