Janice M. Blake (née Ericksen), 77, of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, August 1, 2022, in Geneva, IL.
Jan was born on July 27, 1945, in Chicago, to the late Marvin & late Marie Ericksen, youngest sibling of the late Shirley (late Stanley) & late Sonny (Louise). Jan met Lowell in June of 1967; they fell in love & were married on August 24, 1968.
Lowell moved city-girl, Jan, to the country where they would build their home & family. Together they enjoyed 21 years of retirement together, 11 years were spent in the beautiful Smoky Mountains of Rogersville, TN. In 2013, Jan & Lowell returned home to Belvidere, IL to be close to their family. Jan enjoyed baking, playing with her sweet dog, Trey & had the gift of gab. She was the life of the party & her laughter was contagious. Most of all, Jan treasured her time with her loving family.
She will be dearly missed. Beloved wife of Lowell; loving mother of the late Jim (Angie); infant son, Jay Perry, & Chris (Amy); cherished grandmother of Amber (Josh), Arika, Ava, Grayson, & Liam; and great grandmother of Stella & Renley.
She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews & dear friends.
The visitation will be at 1:30 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 3 p.m., Thursday, August 4, 2022, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Rev.
