Charlie Fagin "Jack" Blassingame, 76, died Saturday, November 01, 2003, at the VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tenn.

Services were held at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Oaklawn Memorial Park with Military Honors.

He was born February 06, 1927, in Pisgah, Prentiss County, Miss to Alex and Lois Green Blassingame.

He was a Graduate of Pisgah High School in April 1943.

He served his Country in the Seabees from March 02, 1944 to August 15, 1946 in the Philippine Island as a Carpenter's Mate 3rd Class on a Construction Crew and Operated Cranes.

He was a Member of the Pisgah Methodist Church with close ties to Jumpertown, Carolina and Cross Roads Churches. He was a former Sunday School Teacher and MYF leader at Jumpertown for many years.

Survivors include his Wife of 39 yeras, Jean Blassingame; his Children, Cathy and Gary Ross; Terry Martin, Jeff Treece, Jimmy Guy and Shirley Blassingame; Steve and Annett Treece, Eddy Treece, Jack and Bill Ditto, Scott and Amy Blassingame; a Sister, Mary V. and Chick Lancaster; 17 Grandchildren; eight Great Grandchildren and a host of Nieces and Nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Alex and Lois Blassingame; a Daughter, Patsy Martin; two Infant Grandchildren; and a Brother, Jimmy Blassingame.

His Grandsons served as Pallbearers.
