Longtime Spearfish, South Dakota resident, Bernice V. Abraham, passed away on October 1st, 2023.
Bernice will be lovingly remembered by her 2 children; 4 grandchildren; and 2 siblings.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Willie Jr. and Ella Kautz, brother Dennis Kautz, and sister Clara Knoepfle.
Bernice retired from Spearfish Hospital after many years of service. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, an avid reader, and a frequent patron of the library. Bernice was often found playing bingo and socializing with her Hickory House friends. She enjoyed nature and over the years visited many national parks with her children and grandchildren.
Friends and family will fondly remember her as a spry 83-year-old with a spicy personality.
Per Bernice's wishes, a private family service was held at Rose Hill Cemetery Rose Garden in Spearfish on October 8th.
Memorial donations in Bernice's name may be made to the South Dakota American Heart Association.
