He married Melissa Knowles on April 10, 2009. Homer was a proud member of Cottonwood Baptist Church, served in the U.S. Army and World War II; he was also a Mason and a member of The Demolay.
Survivors include five children, Kenneth Trimble of Palo Pinto Lake TX, Jerry Trimble of Sulphur Springs TX, Richard Trimble of Ben Wheeler TX, Jan Frey of Plano TX, and Becky Trimble-Valenzuela of Temple TX; two sisters Frankie Hudson and Margie Gable both of Dallas TX; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two of his grandchildren.
