Michael K. Bishop, 70, of Barton, NY, passed away peacefully at home early Tuesday morning, Sept. 12, 2023. He was born in Waverly, NY on July 27, 1953 the son of the late Theodore and Helen (Palmer) Bishop. He was predeceased by 3 siblings. He leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Teresa (Rautio) Bishop; his children, Joseph (Angela) Bishop of Florida; Jessica (Ronel) Alingog from the Philippines; one sister, SharonRose Nance; 3 grandchildren, Cipri-Anno, Danieldos, Riley; several nieces, nephews and cousins. With his wife by his side, Michael owned and operated Terry's Berries in Barton. He took great pride in all his crops but looked forward every year to growing the perfect strawberry. Throughout the years, Michael shared his beloved fruits and vegetables as he was a regular at many local farmer markets. He was a member of the Crossroads Family Ministries, 200 W. Lockhart St, Sayre, Pa.
A gathering to celebrate Michael's life will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2023 at Crossroads Family Ministries. 200 W. Lockhart St, Sayre, Pa with Rev. Roger VanOrstrand, officiating.
