From obituary, January 1941: Death Claims Mrs. Eckroat
A host of friends today mourned the passing of Mrs. Valera Eckroat, 46, long-time resident of the community who died last evening at 5:30 o'clock at the family residence, 703 Veneta Ave. Death came after an extended illness. Mrs. Eckroat was born in Snohomish, Wash., June 9, 1894, and attended schools in that community, graduating from the Snohomish high school. She also attended the Washington State College. She was a member of the Altar Society and the Parent-Teacher association of Our Lady Star of the Sea church, was a past president of Ladies of Elks and an active member of the Gamma study group.
Members of the bereaved family include the husband, George Joseph Eckroat, well-known Bremerton barber, and four daughters, Patricia, Barbara, Georgia and Valera; and two aunts, Miss Abbie Buckley and Miss Kathleen Buckley of Bridgeport, Maine. Requiem mass will be said by Rev. Fr. Joseph Camerman at 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church. Rosary will be said at 8 o'clock Tuesday evening. The body is at the Lewis Funeral chapel.

2. James Joseph ECKROAT (died 8 yrs old tumor)died June 4, 1927.
3. Barbara Ann ECKROAT WILD
