Albert V. Weigel Sr., 71, 401 East 18th St., died Tuesday night at St. Anthony Hospital. Born in Victoria, he moved to Hays in 1935.

He was a retired power plant operator at Central Kansas Power Co.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Brock's North Hill Chapel from 7:30 p.m. today until service time. Parish wake services will be at 8 p.m. Thursday at Brock's.

Survivors include the widow, Flavia; three sons, Virgil, Memphis, Tenn., Albert Jr. and Arthur, both of Hays; two daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Gladys) Davis, Jefferson City, Mo., Mrs. Francis (Velma) Mahoney, Stockton; 17 grandchildren, two great- grandchildren; two brothers, August, Hays, Val, Gorham; three sisters, Mrs. Frank Bittel, Gorham, Mrs. John Haberkorn, Denver, Colo., Mrs. Tony Kinderknecht, Loveland, Colo.
