Mrs. Hill, a native and lifelong resident of Carroll County, was a retired meter maid with the Greenwood Police Department, where she worked for 22 years. She was also employed for many years at the Crystal Grill of Greenwood. She was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. Mrs. Hill was the widow of Howard Vurland Hill.
Survivors include four sons: Howard Hill of Greenwood, Robert E. Hill of Batesville, Floyd H. Hill of Batesville, and Jimmy G. Hill of Grenada; two sisters, Johnnie L. Nester and Margaret Kitchens, both of Carrollton; 16 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. The Rev. Charlie Hood officiated. Burial was in New Liberty Cemetery at Jefferson. Pallbearers were Bobby Hill, Howard V. 'Buck' Hill, Bruce Beckwith, James Hartford Nester, Larry W. Nester and John Ray Nester.
