Funeral services for Dorothy E. Bacle, 90, of Winnsboro, LA, will be held 10 AM Friday April 18, 2008 from the chapel of Gill First National Funeral Home in Winnsboro with Rev. Paul Perry and Rev. Hillary Dixon officiating. Interment will follow at Harris Cemetery in Crowville. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born March 15, 1918 to William and Ida Smith Dixon in Gilbert and she passed from this life on April 15, 2008.
She was a member of the Lone Pine Baptist Church and she loved to quilt. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Henry Thomas Bacle.
She is survived by four children: Claudine Strickland of Gilbert, LA; W.T. Bacle of Bossier City, LA; Garry Bacle of Haughton, LA; Linda Ezell of Haughton; two brothers: Rev. Hillary Dixon of Brookhaven, MS; Kenneth Emfinger of Olla, LA; eight grandchildren; nine great-grand children; one great-great grandchild.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Bacle, Jerry Paylor, Caleb Strickland, Dustin Strickland, Ronnie Strickland, and Seth Strickland.
Honorary Pallbearers will be David Attaway and Randy Bacle.
