Little Esther was the daughter of Austin Ray and Maude Garrison Davis. She was their first born and died at the age of four in a tragic house fire. A sister and a brother was born after her death, but they knew she was a huge part of their lives that was taken away at such an early age She was missed and loved by all.

Four Year Old Child Burns As Residence is Destroyed
Only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Davis, Formerly of this County
Yale, Okla., December 28--- One of the saddest accidents in this neighborhood for many years occurred here on Wednesday December 13, when the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Austin Davis was destroyed by fire, burning their only daughter, Esther, who was only four years old.
Mr. and Mrs. Davis are former resident of Douglas County, having lived at Arden, Mo., previous to coming here about a year ago. They have made many friends during their short residence here, and have many sympathizers in their sad bereavement.
