LaVern was born on November 26, 1931 in Branch, WI to the late Joseph and Ludmilla Cisler. She married Jerry Sleger on September 29, 1951. They enjoyed 65 years together. LaVern was a wonderful homemaker and mother. She worked side-by-side with Jerry for decades promoting "Jerry's One Man Band". They travelled all over the country and were favorites at the EAA in Oshkosh, WI.
LaVern was a kind, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Jerry; children: Donald (Dyan) Sleger, Robert (Laura) Sleger, and Donna (Jim) Collette; 8 grandchildren: Kimberly (Dennis) Milbourn, Zachary (Melodie) Sleger, Damian (Kelli) Sleger, Bryan (Brianne) Sleger, Nathan (Amanda) Sleger, Kelsie (Chad) Ladick, Aria (Parker) King and Drew Collette as well as 8 great-grandchildren: Austin Sleger, Riley Sleger, Kamryn Sleger, Isabella Sleger, Olivia and Ezra Sleger and Isaac and Benjiman Marsh.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 6, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 918 Circle Ridge Pl., Sturgeon Bay, WI. Memorial service to follow at 3:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall.
