Jeffrey Lynn "Jeff" or "Liggs" Liggett, 66, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away on October 15, 2023 in Naperville, Illinois surrounded by family.

He was born on August 26, 1957 in Elida, Ohio.

Liggs loved to play football, he played offensive line for Baldwin Wallace in Cleveland Ohio, winning two national championships as number 69, "On Two, Hut, Hut!" He also was a lifelong Ohio State football fan, attending as many games as possible with family.

He loved to fish, starting fishing as a kid he went on to taking his own kids and grandchildren fishing. He loved boating on both lakes and oceans, owning multiple boats, teaching his kids the love for the water at a young age. Many memories are remembered on the water at Lake Hamilton, Indiana and West Palm Beach, Florida.

Liggs spent many years coaching his five children in youth sports. Some of his favorites things in life were live music, watching UFC, dogs, gambling, going on new adventures with family, Big Gulps, chocolate ice cream, reminiscing over family pictures, sunshine , fishing on the pier, talking smack, and most importantly taking risks. He was a dreamer and a entrepreneur, he taught his kids how to be confident and how to be able to do anything in life. He lived life in a light hearted way, he could walk into any room and make people laugh and enjoy his presence, he was charismatic and a great story teller.

One of his greatest accomplishments in life was being a proud father to his five children and a proud grandfather to his nine grandchildren, always spoiling them. He was always his kids biggest cheerleader, support system, and was frequently caught bragging about his children and grandchildren, even to his last days.

Jeff fought a strong battle against ALS, cracking jokes until his last day, his memory will live on through his children and grandchildren especially his laugh, and he will be forever missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hershel Liggett and Mildred Leppla-Liggett; his brothers, David Liggett and Dennis Liggett; and his dog, Buck.

Jeff is survived by his children: Jaclyn "Jackie" Liggett, Kyle Liggett, Brett Liggett (Blaire), Taylor Liggett-Steele (Sherman), and Alexandra "Lexy" Liggett; his grandchildren: Emma Liggett, Brennen Slama, Samuel Liggett, Colin Liggett, Ethan Liggett, Logan Liggett, Bryce Willis, Hudson Liggett, and Willow Steele; his former spouses, Laura Kohlmann (Mark) and Dena Liggett; his partner, Domenica Conover; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Gingie.

All services were held privately.
