Alejandro "Alex" Sanchez Cruz, 84 of Campbell, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023 at his residence in Campbell, Missouri.

Alex, son of Antonio Alejandro and Maria Del Carmen, was born on Friday, January 20, 1939 in Oaxaca, Oaxaco, Mexico.

He was a retired Machinist and Court Interpreter and was a member of the New Life Fellowship Gospel Jubilee in Campbell.

On February 15, 1969, in St. Louis, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Patricia "Pat" Kay Cruz. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2020.

His survivors include three daughters, Rayetta Kay Smith of Steele, Robin Denise Boykin of Malden, Carmen Cavaness and husband, Todd of Greenway, Arkansas; two sons, Victor Allen Garner of Campbell, Antonio Cruz and wife, Alisia of Moscow Mills, Missouri; grandchildren, Brandy Robinson, Larry Hendershot, Jr., Blayton Garner Hendershot, Christopher Allen Garner, Amanda Gayle Garner, Joshua Brooks Garner, Scotty Brooks Garner, Bobby Allen Braswell, Christina Denise Sherwood, Nicholas Cavaness, Chaunte Barnett, A.J. Cruz and Jeffrey Mansfield; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; four sisters and two brothers.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, October 22, 2023 at Woodlawn Cemetery-Landess Addition in Campbell. Burial will immediately follow.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell will be in charge of the arrangements.
