Jacksonville; Ill., Jan. 14.-Lyman True, a well known resident of this place, died here Tuesday morning after an illness of several months.

The deceased was born in Pittsfield, N. H., Dec. 12, 1822, and removed here shortly after obtaining his majority. He was a very popular man in this community and was noted for his sterling virtues and honorable and upright dealings with all.

He was a member of the Congregational church and has been an active worker in that church for many years. He will be missed not only in the church where he was so beloved by all, but my the entire community, who recognized in his a citizen of true worth.

The funeral services will be held from the residence Thursday at 10 o'clock a. m.

Interment will be made at Joy Prairie, where the family lot is located.
