PALMER, TN – Mrs. Pamela Olene Meeks, 69, passed away Sunday, October 22,
2023 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. She was born on February
19, 1954 to Leonard and Willette Brewer Birdwell who preceded her in death
along with her brothers, Don (Christeen), David, Doug and Roger Dale Birdwell
sister, Patricia Ann Meeks.
She was a member of Laager Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, David Sherrill Meeks; son, Travis Meeks;
daughter, Ashley (Matthew) Meeks; grandchildren, Braxton "Bubba" (Tori), Miss
Ragan (Preston) and Bryson "Bry"; brothers, Tommy (Viva) and Larry (Weedy)
Birdwell; sisters-in-law, Audrey Birdwell and Patsy Birdwell; several nieces and
nephews; companion, Olly
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bro.
Matthew Meeks and Bro. Daniel Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the
Browns Chapel Cemetery.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer,
TN
