Alberta Louise Knoefel, 88, died October 22, 2023, at Good Samaritan Society-Hutchinson Village. She was born August 6, 1935, in Kingman, KS, to Elmer James Potter and Susan (Roberts) Potter.
Louise was a 1952 graduate of Pretty Prairie High School, Pretty Prairie, KS. She was a member of the Abbyville United Methodist Church, Abbyville Community Church, and the Abbyville Booster Club. Louise was a farm wife and a member and supporter of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) program.
On November 22, 1953, Louise married Robert 'Bob' Charles Knoefel at the Pretty Prairie United Methodist Church, Pretty Prairie, KS. They shared over 64 years of marriage, prior to his death on June 22, 2018.
She is survived by: her son, Raymond (Sheila) Knoefel of Peck, KS; grandchildren, Stephanie (Keegan) Kreutzer of Wichita, KS, and Ryan (Nereyda) Knoefel of Garden City, KS; and great-grandchildren, Kalli Kreutzer and Sylas Knoefel.
Louise was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Ronald Knoefel; and brothers, Everett Potter and Lowell Potter.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Elliott Mortuary, with Pastor Keith Dellenbach officiating. Burial will follow in the Abbyville Cemetery, Abbyville, KS.
