William "Bill" Brinker, 85, of Hubert, NC, formerly of Waterloo and Hudson, died on Thursday, October 19, 2023, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center at Wilmington, NC.

Bill was born on May 5, 1938, in Waterloo, IA, to William and Esther Parker Brinker.

graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1956. He obtained his Associate's Degree from Gates Business College in 1958.

He married Jessie Lucille Harrah on September 24, 1961, in Waterloo.

Bill was a Quality Control Inspector at Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp. for 27 years until its closing in 1994. He worked various jobs before officially retiring in 2005.

He was involved in the Boy Scouts of America and was a Scout Leader in Hudson for many years.

He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, fishing and was an avid reader.

He is preceded in death by parents.

Funeral Services 11:00 AM on Monday, November 6, 2023, at Locke Tower Park, 4140 Kimball Ave., Waterloo.

Visitation is 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Locke at Tower Park.

Burial: Mount Vernon Township Cemetery, Waterloo.

Memorials may be directed to the family.
