Obituary.

Maria E. Tenny was born at Grand Isle, Vermont, October 19, 1825, died November 5, 1894, aged 69 years, 18 days. Married to John Waggoner January 14, 1847, at Galena, Illinois. They moved to Moline, Illinois, the following August. Came to Wilson county, Kansas, June 20, 1871, where she resided until her death, which occurred at Altoona, Kansas.

Sister Waggoner leaves seven children and a companion with whom she has journeyed nearly half a century. In her fourteenth year she gave her heart to Christ and has been an earnest consciencious, consistent Christian. Her presence was always a benediction in all the services of the church, and while we fell her loss keenly we rejoice in the memory of her preciouslife.

The funeral services were conducted by the pastor, L. Martin, at the M.E. church, November 8, at 2 o'clock p.m. All the children were present, viz: M.E. Holmes, E.J. DeSollar, A.E. Harper, C.M., G.H., A.T., and F.L. Waggoner. The interment was in the Altoona cemetery.
