Kelly Northweather was born on June 8, 1937 in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He passed away on October 22, 2023 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma,
Kelly graduated from Caney High School in Caney, Kansas and attended Kansas University. He then went on to work at Phillips Petroleum Research Lab. He worked here for several years before moving to Morton Salt Company and eventually moving to Bowen's Carpets in Sand Springs doing their computer and tech work. One thing about Kelly, he was great with computers. Anything to do with technology and computers, he was your guy. He enjoyed his alone time when he was able to work on computers. In his alone time, he also enjoyed reading. He loved a good book. Kelly was also an avid Bob Wills fan and loved to listen to his music. You can't talk about things Kelly loved without mentioning OU Football. He was a huge OU fan! He loved to talk about football and was a big fan of Billy Vessels who came out of Cleveland, Oklahoma and played as a halfback for the Sooners.
Kelly was known for his fun-loving personality, everyone loved him. In the words of his niece "he was one of a kind. Everyone needs an Uncle Kelly."
Kelly is preceded in death by his mother; Bernice Lee Northweather-Busbee, father; William Fay Northweather, sister: Dolores Northweather, brother; Johnny Northweather, sister; Kathy DePriest and nephew; Jeff Winget.
He is survived by his sister; Carolyn Hefner, Cherryl Gist, Brenda Gaddy and Sandra Northweather. Along with several nieces, nephews and many friends. Among those were three lifelong friends; Leonard Thomas, Clifford Ellis and David Rains.
