Héctor Bienvenido Trujillo Molina was a Dominican politician, president of the Dominican Republic twice, the first as interim president from March 1 to October 1, 1951, and as president of the Republic from August 16, 1952, to August 1960. He was the brother of dictator Rafael Leónidas Trujillo. Héctor Bienvenido was born in the city of San Cristóbal in 1908. His parents were José Trujillo Valdés and Julia Altagracia Molina Chevalier, the latter of French-Haitian descent. He was the brother of Rafael dictator Leonidas Trujillo Molina. Héctor "el Negro", as he was popularly called and known, during Trujillo's term, became Secretary of War, Navy and Aviation and from March 1, 1951, to October 1, 1951, he was interim president. He also had the opportunity to be president of the Republic, even if it was as a disguise or puppet of his brother during the 31 years of Trujillo's dictatorship. His term of office "supposedly" runs from August 16, 1952, to August 3, 1960. In 1959 he was appointed generalissimo by order of Rafael Trujillo.

During the mandate of Héctor Trujillo, the so-called "Fair of Peace and the Fellowship of the Free World" was held, with which it was sought to give a good image of the country to the other countries of the world, due to the murders that occurred during the Trujillo dictatorship. For the 1957 elections, Rafael Trujillo again rejected the presidency, but instead proposed his brother Héctor as president, and was also in charge of modifying the constitution, with which the position of vice president was created. Things went as Trujillo planned, Héctor Trujillo won the presidency again and Joaquín Balaguer, in 1960, trying to soften the sanctions of the OAS, and the United States, made his brother "Negro" resign and the jurist Joaquín Balaguer remained as puppet president, although in 1961, after the fall of Trujillo, Balaguer remains as president and strong man in charge of leading the Republic to democracy and extirpating "Trujillismo". According to some journalists of the time, the petitions for Rafael Trujillo to be re-elected came from everywhere, mainly from his followers and even from the Senate, from where a resolution was even issued considering the presidential re-election to be of "high national convenience." Trujillo did not want to run for another presidential term, so he turned to his brother, who won the election without a single vote against. In this way he becomes president of the republic, even if it was as a puppet of his own brother. He died on October 19, 2002, in Miami, at the age of 94.
