Connie Sue Wade Hibbard

BAXTER SPRINGS, Kan. — Connie Sue Hibbard, 48, Baxter Springs route 1, died at 2:05 a.m. Tuesday at Oak Hill Hospital, Joplin, Mo., after a long illness.
Mrs. Hibbard was born July 6, 1945, at Joplin. She was a lifelong area resident. She attended Riverton High.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Galena, the Women’s Missionary Association and the Lostine Lassies. She was active in 4-H and was a member of the Four-State Transplant Support Group.
She married Mike Hibbard on April 27, 1961, at Riverton. He survives.
Additional survivors include a son; a daughter; her mother; a brother; and four grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church, Galena. The Rev. Charles Idleman and James Moore will officiate.
Burial will be in Lowell (Kan.) Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Doug Garratt, Doug Baysinger, Jim Babb, Don Brown, Danny Rawlins and Lloyd Helwig.
Friends may call after noon today at Derfelt’s Baxter Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
A memorial fund has been established to Four-State Transplant Support Group, in care of the funeral home.
