Charles Clovis Berube was born in Ste-Anne-des-Monts, Quebec, Canada to parents Pierre Octave Berube and Marie Henriette (Keable) Berube. He married Lea Pelletier in Burrillville, Rhode Island, USA Nov. 23, 1885. Charles and Lea had 9 children and made their home primarily in Fitchburg, Massachusetts until he died in an automobile accident in 1915.

Survived by his wife, three daughters-- Mrs. Antoinette Vezina, Misses Emma and Eugenie Berube- five sons-Louis J., Clovis, Adolph, Armand and Henry Berube, all of Fitchburg.
