Oletha Vay Clark Baker, of Farmers Branch, Dallas County, Texas passed away on Monday, 8 June 2020. She was 81.

Mrs. Baker was born on Sunday, 11 September 1938, to John Riley Clark and Jewell Lorene Cade Clark, in Crandall, Kauffman County, Texas. She was the fourth of five children born to this union.

Mrs. Baker was united in marriage to Bobby Roland Baker on Friday, 20 July 1962. Mr. Baker preceded Oletha in death on Thursday, 21 April 2005. They were married 42 years. To their union were born two children: son Mark Allen Baker and son Casey Clark Baker.

Graduating from Seagoville High School in 1957, Oletha moved to Dallas where she worked various clerical positions. Most notably, she worked as an executive assistant for Wang Laboratories until its closing. She finished her career with the City of Farmers Branch as a secretary in the Equipment Services division where she retired in 2003. An active member at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch for over 40 years, Oletha served on various committees, taught Sunday school, and sang in the choir. She was literally in church every time the doors were open. Aside from church fellowship and activities, Oletha enjoyed reading, arts & crafts, making dolls, and most especially spending time with family. In her later years when she became unable to crochet and craft, she liked creating and sending greeting cards. Her greatest joy came from Lindsey and Natalee, her granddaughters.

Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sister Ruby Jewell Clark Brinkley, sister LaVonne Clark Childers, sister Gloria Ann Clark Wilson, brother Jackie LeRay Clark, and granddaughter Harleigh Susanne Baker.

Oletha is survived by son Mark Allen Baker and wife Wendi, son Casey Clark Baker and wife Brandi, granddaughter Lindsey Baker, granddaughter Natalee Baker, several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Visitation will be on held Thursday, 11 June 2020, from 6:00-8:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Friday, 12 June 2020, at First Baptist Church of Farmers Branch, 13017 William Dodson Pkwy, Farmers Branch, TX 75234.

Interment will occur at Crown Hill Memorial Park of Dallas, Dallas County, Texas.
