Died March 31, 2015, at Illinois Veterans Home in Manteno, Ill. Born Nov. 30, 1927, in Rutland, Ill., to Ralph and Marie (Malnar) Copp. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1945-46. A former resident of the Summit and Hometown, Ill., area, his employers included Corn Products of Argo and the Prudential Insurance Co. He enjoyed carpentry, golf, traveling, playing cards, his dogs and spending time with his family. Married Lorraine Davelis on April 10, 1948; they later divorced. Married Barbara Arens on April 28, 1977. Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children Jeffrey (Judy) Copp of Arvada, Colo., and Deborah (John) Donofrio of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; stepchildren Cynthia (Martin) O'Connor, Daniel Arens, Laura Graham, Patrick (Kristi) Arens and Christopher (Rose) Arens; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Raymond Copp of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Eugene Copp of Lyons, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Lawrence, sister Mary Ann, sisters-in-law Patricia Copp and Grace Copp; stepson Michael Arens; and his first wife, Lorraine. Memorial service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 25, at Divine Savior Catholic Church, Downers Grove, Ill. Interment is in Rutland. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice .
