He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mayfield. He was retired from the Merit Clothing Company, a World War II U.S. Air Force veteran, and a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 26.
Surviving are one son, James T. Carrico of Ledbetter; two grandchildren, Heather Carrico Johnides of Georgetown and Chris Carrico of Louisville; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Thomas Carrico, and two brothers. His parents were James L. and Etta Hetzler Carrico.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Ken Mikulcik officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery with graveside rites by the American Legion.
Friends may call from 9 until 10:45 a.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield.
