Charles Henry Fraser, 97, former resident of Columbia, died Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Stone's River Manor in Murfreesboro.

He was born on February 10, 1926 in Maury County, TN to the late Clarence Hubert Fraser and Lillie Mae Wantland Fraser. Mr. Fraser served in the United States Navy during World War II and retired from Union Carbide as a foreman. On August 5, 1960 he married Elizabeth Katherine Goad Fraser whom preceded him in death on December 8, 2016. He enjoyed camping, fishing, woodworking and anything with tools.

Survivors include his sons, Roy Fraser (Jenny) of Murfreesboro and Chuck Fraser (Karen) of Knoxville; son-in-law, Kenny Johnson of Indiana; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; two nieces; and brother-in-law, Randy (Susan) Goad of Arkansas.

In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by his daughter; Linda Gail Fraser Johnson and son Donny Felton; brother, Clyde Fraser of Shelbyville.

Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, November 4, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Arlington Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with Rev. Frank Webb officiating. Military honors will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Memorials may be made to Stone's River Manor, 205 Haynes Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37129 or Mt. Pleasant First Baptist Church, 201 Bond Street, Mt. Pleasant, TN 38474.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
