Was first called Alpha in earliest census, but also went by Alfred later. He married Mary Elizabeth Bailey. He enlisted in the Civil War 4/5/1862, private in the 10th Cavalry, Company B, VA. His gravestone reflects his service in the war. Unfortunately, I didn't get a good picture of his stone, but it's to the right of the picture in back. Thanks for the better picture. His parents were Jesse Caton, Sr. & Elizabeth Orrell.
