Charles T. Greening, 85, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2005 after a short illness.

Born in Frostburg, Maryland, Mr. Greening lived in Akron most of his life, retiring from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 32 years of service. Charles served during World War II in the Army. He served as a trustee and deacon at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, and a member of Good Neighbors for over 30 years.

Charles was a loving, gentle, caring man with a great sense of humor.

Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death. He leaves his wife, Mary; son, Thomas; two daughters; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, Jean (Fred) Collins; plus brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held in Oak Hill Presbyterian Church on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park where military rites will be conducted by Mogadore V.F.W. Post 8487. Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home.
