Mary C. Greening, 84, passed away June 21, 2006.

Mary was born and resided in Akron her entire life. A kind, generous, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, her greatest joy was her family. She was a member of Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, where she served as a deacon, elder, and was named Oak Hill's Woman of the Year.

Preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Thomas; brothers, George, Leonard, Jim, and Richard; and sister, Jeannette. She is survived by two daughter; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; her sister, Helen (Russell) Nichols; three brothers, Wilford (Adelaide), Donald (Ann), and John (Patty) Raymond; and many special nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral service Monday, 11 a.m., at Oak Hill Presbyterian Church, 2406 Ardwell Ave., Akron. Burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Akron. Friends may call at Hopkins Lawver Funeral Home, 547 Canton Rd., Akron, Sunday, 2 to 5 p.m., where elder services will be conducted at 5 p.m., and also one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. The family suggests memorials to the Akron Blind Center, 25 N. First St., Akron 44304, or to her church.
