Elaine was born in Buffalo, NY. Her family moved to West Valley in 1972. She graduated from West Valley Central School in 1975 and attended Canisius University for Youth Ministry. She worked at Peerless Winsmith where she met the love of her life, David. They were married on October 6,1984 at St. John the Baptist Church in West Valley, and celebrated 39 years of friendship and love. Elaine also worked with Chiropractor, Dr. Steven Caprow for 35 years where she brightened many lives. She often referred to the student as "my kids." and many kept alive their friendships and continued their Faith Journey as Peer Ministers. Elaine loved animals. She owned and showed Arabian horses for over 50 years, winning multiple awards and ribbons. She also treasured the multiple dogs in her life. Cocker Spaniels were her favorite and filled her life with joy.

Her favorite Bible passage was Revelation 21:4
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain [for] the old order has passed away."
