Death of C. S. Washburn
Sunday morning the body of Claude S. Washburn was received here from Poughkeepsie. He died of pneumonia in a hospital there last Friday.
Mr. Washburn was formerly a resident of this vicinity, having been born 34 years ago in Oxbow village. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lottie Brasie Washburn, formerly of Brasie Corners, one daughter, Lilleth, his father, Alvin Washburn of Evans Mills, two brothers, Roy of Kasoag; Ellis of Utica; and two sisters, Mrs. Mark Evans and Miss Nina Washburn, both of Evans Mills. He was also a nephew of Mrs. John Baldwin of this village. Rev. H. C. Campbell officiated and burial was made in Riverside Cemetery.
