BROOKLET - A. Harold McElveen, 89, died Oct. 18 at home.
He was a native of Bulloch County and a graduate of Brooklet High School and the University of Georgia. He taught school for several years in North Carolina. He was an Army veteran of World War II and worked for Gulf Oil until retiring in 1972. He was a member of Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
VISITATION: 5-8 p.m. today at Joiner-Shepard Funeral Home in Statesboro.
FUNERAL: 2 p.m. Wednesday at Upper Black Creek Primitive Baptist Church, burial in the church cemetery.
