Funeral services for John Elzie "Uncle L" Brown, 95, of DeRidder, will be held on Friday, May 19, 2006, at 10 a.m. in the Hixson Funeral Home Chapel in DeRidder with Rev. George L. Glass, Jr., officiating. Burial will follow at Pruitt's Chapel Cemetery in Hornbeck under the direction of the Hixson Funeral Home of DeRidder. Mr. Brown went home on May 17, 2006, at his residence in DeRidder. He was born in Hornbeck.
