Formerly of Susquehanna, Pa. Margaret "Maggie" Troup, 91, formerly of Susquehanna, Pa., died Monday, September 6, 2004, at Wilson Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husbands, Reid F. Holmes and John M. Troup, Sr. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Jo-Ann Margaret (Holmes) and Robert E. Jensen, Port Dickinson, Donna M. (Holmes) and David Confer, Johnson City; her grandchildren, Stephen P. Jensen and his wife, Helga, Cathleen Carroll and her husband, Matthew, Christine Roberts and her husband, Donald, Matthew Jensen and his wife, Leslie, Bradley J. Marvin and his fiancee, Lisa, Christopher A. Marvin and his wife, Jenn, Scott D. Marvin, Erik B. Marvin, Tiffany N. Confer; her great-grandchildren, Roberto Jensen, Graciela Jensen, Makenna Carroll, Jordyn Carroll, Donald Roberts III, Haley Rain Jensen, Emmet Reid Jensen, Emma Lynn Marvin; her siblings, Helen Amrein, Susquehanna, Pa., Robert Hurlburt, Ninevah, Betty Williams, Sidney; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and two special friends, Arthur C. Marvin Jr. and Norman Darrow. Her loves included bingo, her family and her friends.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Thomas J. Shea Funeral Home, Inc., 137 Robinson Street, Binghamton. Friends are invited to call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 356 N. Midler Avenue, Syracuse, N.Y. 13206.
