He married Susan Emma Dull on Feb 20, 1896 and they had two children: Cleo Marcella in 1897 and Clarence Henry in 1898.
His grandson Clarence (Sonny) Shaffer remembers that his Papa Fisher had an old Model T that he couldn't drive. He told Sonny that when he turned 16, he could drive him around. But George died in April of 1936, just after Sonny's 14th birthday. Sonny said he then spent every night across the street at his Grandma Fisher's.
