Beth Ellen Ashmore, 52, of Clarksburg, passed away following an extended illness on February 12, 2015 at United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. She was born on February 28, 1962 in Clarksburg, the daughter of Glenda Harbert Spry of Lumberport and the late Arlie Spry.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by one daughter: Kristin Moneymaker and husband Joseph of Manassas, Virginia; one son: Matthew Ashmoore of Manassas, Virginia; one brother: Lloyd Spry and wife Laura of Lumberport; and one grandson: Joseph Moneymaker of Manassas, Virginia; and two granddaughters: Destiny and Kaitlyn Moneymaker, also of Manassas.
Beth was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and was employed as a cook for the Prince William County Board of Education in Masassas, Virginia. Additionally, she worked as a clerk at the Factory Card Outlet in Bridgeport. She was Protestant by faith.
There will be no public visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Lumberport Lion's Club Cemetery on Monday February 16 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Robert Shingleton presiding. Interment will immediately follow.
