Miriam Amerita Symonette aged 97 years, of Treasure Cove, died on Sunday 1st October, 2023.

She is survived by her daughters: Marie Ann Gayle, Frances Thomas, and Rosemary Parker; sons: Michael, Lewis, Philip, and Peter Symonette; sister: Enola Burke; sister-in-law: Gloria Ward; 25 Grandchildren including: Nadia Storr and Nicholas Symonette; 22 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great, Great Grandchildren;and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Funeral Service for the late Miriam Amerita Symonette aged 97 years of Treasure Cave will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday 14th October, 2023 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, West Hill Street. Officiating will be Fr. Anselm Russell and assisted by other ministers of the clergy. Interment will follow in the Eastern Cemetery, Dowdeswell Street (family only).

Miriam Amerita Symonette was preceded in death by her husband: Lewis Anthony Joy-Symonette; daughter: Brenda Symonette Martin-Grant; and adopted son Clifton Johnson.
