The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Davidson Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, by the Rev. Carroll Upton. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Memorial Park.
Mrs. Owens was born April 17, 1922, in Patrick County, Va., to Daniel Thomas Rakes and Olivia Lawson Rakes. She was a former employee of PPG and a member of Wesley Heights United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Raymond E. Owens; a brother, Garland Rakes; and two sisters, Luvenia Rorrer and Grace Forrest.
Surviving are three sons, Chester E. Owens of Thomasville and Tommy Ray Owens and Stephen Foster Owens and his wife, Sherry, all of Lexington; a daughter, Brenda Gail Owens Young and her husband, Jim, of Lexington; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
