At 6'00, and 195lbs, Hillman played for the Buffalo Bisons from 1956 to 1957, and 1958 to 1962, St. Catharines Teepees from 1957 to 1958, Chicago Blackhawks from 1960 to 1965, St. Louis Braves from 1964 to 1965, New York Rangers from 1964 to 1968, Minnesota North Stars from 1968 to 1969, Philadelphia Flyers from 1969 to 1973, and the Cleveland Crusaders from 1973 to 1975. Hillman passed away on November 24, 1990, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 52.
