Joan Evelyn Wiggins age 85 of Harrison passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2023. Joan was born March 18, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the daughter of Clifford Eugene Artlip and Betty Marie (Rhoades) Artlip. Joan graduated from Kellogsville High School, Grand Rapids, in 1957. Joan was united in marriage to Mr. Leo Duane Fields on August 23, 1958. Mr. Fields preceded Joan in death on November 19, 1998 after forty years of marriage.
Surviving Joan are her three children; Barbara Hawkins and husband Steve of Harrison, Deborah Clingen and husband Bruce of Sparta, Michigan and Robert Fields of Luther, Michigan, three grandchildren; Zachary Hawkins and wife Brittany, Justine Fields and Mike Sokotowski and Nic Fields and wife Miranda, nine great-grandchildren; Masen, Trapper and Cash Hawkins, Jaden Tetzloff, Trenton Sokotowski, Brayden Williams, Oakley Osmun, Leo and Anna Fields, three sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law, plus many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wiggins also was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Donna Holliday, one sister, Carol Howe and one brother, Roy Artlip.
Celebration of Life gathering, honoring Mrs. Wiggins will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Inurnment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Wyoming, Michigan. Memorial gifts in memory of Joan may be considered to: Promedica Hospice.
