Mrs. LOVISA FOOS, 89 years old, died at 11 p.m., Sunday, at her home.

She was born on January 8, 1849, in Geneva, the daughter of Lucinda King and Washington Potter. On October 7, 1867 she married Joseph Foos, who died several years ago.

Mrs. Foos was a member of the Methodist Church and active in the Ladies Aid Society.

Survivors are 4 daughters, Mrs. Almetta Brown of Montezuma, Mrs. Kate Swaim of Danville, Mrs. Bertha Grady of Ipswitch, MA, and Edith Foos of Bainbridge; 3 sons, Edgar of Blanford, Enoch of Clinton, and Claude of Newport; a grandson, Vorie Foos, and his wife who made their home with her and a number of other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Baumgardner Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, with Rev. E.T. Miles, pastor of the Methodist Church, in charge. Burial was in the Thomas Cemetery, west of Newport.
