Johnny Godwin, 58, of Maxville died on Sunday January 18, 1998 at his residence. He was a native of Maxville where he lived all of his life. He was employed by Winn Dixie Food Stores before his illness. Survivors include daughters Brenda (David) Murphy of Middleburg, Amy (Chad) Monroe of Bellview, FL; sisters, Mable Smith of Maxville, and Shirley Padgett of Clay Hill; his good friend and companion Linda Harris; grandchildren Desiree and David Murphy Jr. of Middleburg. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 21, at 2 PM in the First Baptist Church of Maxville with Rev. Richard Fish officiating. Interment will be in Long Branch Cemetery of Clay County, FL. Visitation will be Tuesday (today) from 5 PM to 9 PM at Fraser Funeral Home, 712 S. 6th Street Macclenny, FL.
