It is with sorrow we announce the passing of our father in his room at Overlander Extended Care.
Eric is predeceased by his parents, William (Bill) Linnell (1999), Margaret Anne Linnell (Dudley) (1983), and his younger brother, Norman Allan Linnell (1979). He is survived by his children, Toni (Troy), Nicole (Gary), Amanda (Richard), John, and Tammie, his incredible grandchildren, Diara, Kaila, Chase, Tyson, Parker, Melissa, Jamie, Jodie, and Katie, his brothers, Mark (Leslie) and Richard (Lorna), and many nieces and nephews.
Eric lived life on his terms and truly enjoyed living just off the beaten path. He liked sports, but while he was young, injured his right knee badly enough it had to be fused in place. This limited his activities but didn't slow him down.
He found a new passion and quickly became addicted to golf. Golf added to his other hobbies like buying, selling and collecting scotch in decorative bottles, internet bartering, and fishing.
Eric was unique and something different to everyone. If you'd care to join us, there will be a viewing on Friday, August 11th, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at the 100 Mile Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at the 100 Mile Cemetery with a Celebration of Life to follow at the 100 Mile Legion at noon.
