Charles M Schweitzer, 57, of 456 Fairmont Ave, died at 2 p.m. Tuesday February 11, 1958, at Spencer Hospital.
He was born August 1, 1900, a son of Pete and Elizabeth Brenot Schweitzer, at Guys Mills. For 25 years he had been employed by the Pennsylvania Department of Highways and was a foreman for that agency. His illness kept him from work the last three years.
Charles married Ethel Elizabeth DeMaison June 22, 1926.
Survivors include his widow; his father; four daughters, Mrs. Laurence Richardson of Linesville, Mrs. Jerry Walls of Meadville, Mrs. William Lilly of Conneaut, Ohio, and Nancy at home; a son Clair F of Meadville; three brothers, Mark, Otto and John all of Meadville; a sister Mrs. Fred McMunn of Conneautville; and six grandchildren.
Mr. Schweitzer was a member of St. Agatha's Roman Catholic Church and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Friends may call at the Kennedy Funeral Home after 7 p.m. today. Rosary services will be held there at 8 p.m. Thursday.
Services will be held at St. Agatha's Church at 10 a.m. Friday. Interment will follow at St. Hippolyte's Cemetery, Frenchtown.
