Charlotte D. McEntee was born the child of William Aloysius McEntee and Mary E. "McCarty" McEntee on August 15, 1920. August 15th is known as Feast of the Assumption on the Catholic Calendar. She had four siblings George, Evelyn, Thelma and Claire McEntee who all predeceased her. She also had five half siblings, all predecessors her. She donated her kidney to her oldest daughter Jill in 1972, when organ donation was in its infancy.
Charlotte was a good singer, who loved music. She was a great asset to her family's genealogy project. She was predeceased by her daughter, Jill, who died in 1972 and her husband of 54 years; Vincent John Grosso, Sr. She was born and raised around the Buttonwood Street area of Philadelphia, PA. Charlotte was very active in the theater department at William Penn High School, where she wrote, produced and starred in their plays. She married Vincent J. Grosso on February 11, 1941. They had two children in Philadelphia, Vincent Grosso, JR. and Charlotte Jill Grosso. In 1950 they moved to the home that her husband Vincent, had built in the Folsom section of Ridley Township, Delaware County, PA. In 1955 Charlotte gave birth to her youngest child Debra. In 1985 Charlotte and her husband built a home in Glen Mills and lived there until 1994, when she and her husband moved into the home of their daughter Debra. She was a member of Saint Mary Magdalen's Church in Upper Providence Township, Media, PA. The new St. Mary Magdalen's Church opened on April 12, 2008 and Charlotte had the 1st funeral ever held there.
