It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul David Cunningham, age 63 of Eunice, New, Mexico passed away on November 14, 2023 in Andrews, Texas. He left leaving behind a legacy of love, cherished memories, and he was beloved pepa, daddy, uncle, and friend.

David was born November 15, 1959 to Leonard Cunningham and Dorothy Mae Cunningham in St. Joseph, Missouri.

David dedicated his life to hard work, spending years as a dedicated oil field worker. His commitment and work ethic were unwavering, earning him the respect of colleagues and the admiration of those who knew him. His hands-on approach to life was a testament to his resilience and tenacity. Beyond his professional endeavors, David was a family man through and through. As pepa, he showered his grandchildren with affection and wisdom, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. His role as a father and uncle was marked by guidance, support, and a sense of humor that brightened even the darkest days.

He leaves behind his devoted wife, Tanya Cunningham. Daughters; Sonya (Michael) Bustamante, Kasei (Ryan) Dean, Stormy (Lisa) Cunningham, and Nikie Cunningham. Niece; Paula (Jimmy) McGuire. Nephew; Michael Taylor. Grandchildren; Tristan, Izzy, Emma, Zoey, Nicholas, Matthew, and his sidekick, Peanut. 1 great grandson and his in laws.

David is preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Dorothy Cunningham. Sister; Linda Taylor. Their memories will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved David.

David will be remembered for his kind heart and humble nature. He had a unique ability to connect with people, making friends wherever life took him. His genuine and warm personality left an indelible mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him. In addition to his work and family, David had a passion for life that was contagious. He found joy in simple pleasures like hot dogs, bologna, and his well loved slippers. His positive outlook resonated with everyone around him. David had a way of making each moment special.

As we mourn the loss of David Cunningham, let us remember the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the joy he brought into our lives. Though he may no longer be with us in person, his spirit lives on in the memories we hold dear.

A celebration of David's life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at First Assembly of God with Doctor Kenny Reed officiating. Friends and family will come together to honor the legacy of a remarkable man who touched the hearts of many. May he rest in eternal peace.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Amazing Grace rescue, animal shelter, or a memorial tree can be planted.
