Edith R. (Stine) Delp, 87, of Senior Commons, formerly of Loganville, died Saturday, April 19, 2008, at Rest Haven York. She was the wife of the late William E. Delp.

Mrs. Delp was born on March 12, 1921, in Springfield Township, a daughter of the late John H. and Mabel (Gladfelter) Stine.

She was employed, as a Presser for many years at the former Davidson Suit Company in York, retiring in 1986 and prior to that was a Presser for a local laundry company. She was a member of Friedensaal Lutheran Church, where she was a member of the Sunday School and the Ladies Circle of the church. She also was a member of the York County Farm Women and the Loganville Senior Citizens Group.

She leaves two daughters, Jean M. Ort and her husband, Glenn of Seven Valleys and Patricia A. Godfrey and her husband, Kenneth of York; a son, Robert E. Delp and his wife, Millie of York; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Gladys Wheat of Glen Rock and Dorothy Sheffer of Seven Valleys. She was predeceased by a daughter, Doris L. Ort; sisters, Florence Pardo and Elsie Harrold; and two brothers, Preston Stine and John Stine.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at Friedensaal Lutheran Church, Seven Valleys, with her pastor, the Rev. Margareta M. Breden, officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
