Melvina Faye Christy, a life long resident of Kingfisher, passed away at her home on September 12, 2023 at the age of 84. She was born on February 27th, 1939 to Theodore "Ted" Christy and Eleanor (Forbes) Christy in Kingfisher, Oklahoma. Melvina graduated from Kingfisher High School in 1959. She worked as a clerk at the Kingfisher County Courthouse then later at the Department of Human Services where she retired from.

She enjoyed needle pointing and crocheting pot holders. Melvina was definitely one of a kind with a unique personality. She had a quick witted sense of humor and loved telling her inappropriate jokes from memory. She loved watching football and basketball games, especially OU and OKC Thunder. Melvina loved her nieces and nephews like they were her own children.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, Terry F. Christy (brother), Darrell Begg (nephew), Dale Begg (brother-in-law).

She is survived by her sister, Madeline Begg of Great Bend, KS; brother, Teddy Don "Topper" Christy and wife Kaye of Bethany, OK; sister-in-law, Margie Christy of Cashion, OK; Theresa Homier (niece) of Kingfisher, OK; Wayde Klingsick (nephew) of Tulsa, OK; Craig Christy (nephew) of Calera, OK; Diana Dawson (niece) of Great Bend, KS; Daniel Fantinel (nephew) of Hobart, OK; Jennifer Hammond (niece) of Clinton, OK; Julie Goucher (niece) of Clinton, OK, along with many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
